If you listen to any motivational speaker or read about successful people, one of the most common things you will hear them say is, our biggest failure gave us our biggest learning.
We all inherently know that everyone fails at some point in their life. And more often than not, failure will make us better, stronger and wiser.
Why then, are we still so afraid to fail?
We don’t start something new because we feel that we may not have sufficient knowledge and resources to make it successful.
We push our expansion and growth plans, because we are waiting for the right time.
We refrain from adopting new ways of working because we've always done it this way.
Don’t get me wrong, being unafraid does not mean we become reckless and take unnecessary risks.
But if we free ourselves from the fear of failure, action will follow.
Next time you are putting something off for later, ask yourself – what am I afraid of?
